The full hardware list
The table below is the catalogue as printed — item, the specification to demand, capacity, price band and the note that goes with each.
| Item | Specification to demand | Capacity | Price band | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Top-hung sliding system | Two-door, soft-close both ways, anti-jump | 60–80 kg per shutter | Rs 8,500–28,000/set | Top-hung is quieter and does not collect dust in a floor track |
| Bottom-roller sliding | Two-door with a guided top channel | 50–70 kg per shutter | Rs 4,500–14,000/set | Cheaper; the floor track needs cleaning every week |
| Three-door synchronised | Synchronised runners, soft-close | 60 kg per shutter | Rs 22,000–55,000/set | Only worth it above a 9 ft run |
| Folding wardrobe system | Bi-fold, top-hung | 25 kg per leaf | Rs 6,500–18,000/set | Useful where a hinged swing does not fit |
| Hinge, 165 degree | Clip-on, soft-close, 3D adjustable | Up to 12 kg | Rs 220–620 each | Wide angle lets a drawer clear the open shutter |
| Hinge for a mirror shutter | Heavy-duty, soft-close | Up to 16 kg | Rs 450–1,100 each | Mirror adds 4 to 6 kg; ordinary hinges sag |
| Drawer channel, full extension | Soft-close, side mount | 35 kg | Rs 450–900/pair | Full extension matters; three-quarter loses the back of the drawer |
| Tandem drawer for wardrobe | Concealed runner, soft-close | 40 kg | Rs 2,200–4,500/set | Worth it for the two deepest drawers only |
| Pull-out trouser rack | Side-mounted, 10 to 14 pairs | 20 kg | Rs 2,400–6,500 | Needs a 20 in clear depth to work |
| Pull-out tie and belt rack | Side-mounted, 20 positions | 8 kg | Rs 1,200–3,200 | Small and disproportionately useful |
| Pull-down wardrobe rail | Spring-assisted, for a loft rail | 10–12 kg | Rs 3,500–9,500 | Makes the top 2 ft of a tall wardrobe usable |
| Hanging rail, oval | 25 x 15 mm oval, with end supports | — | Rs 120–320/rft | Oval does not deflect like a round rail over 3 ft |
| Rail with integrated LED | Aluminium rail with a sensor strip | — | Rs 750–1,800/rft | Replaces a separate wardrobe light |
| Shoe rack, pull-out | Tilt or slide, 4 to 6 pairs | 15 kg | Rs 1,800–4,800 | Angled racks hold more per foot |
| Accessory tray, velvet | In-drawer, compartmented | — | Rs 900–3,200 | Turns one deep drawer into usable jewellery storage |
| Mirror, sliding on a rail | Full length, on its own runner | 12 kg | Rs 3,200–8,500 | Better than a fixed mirror shutter in a narrow room |
| Safe / locker unit | Concealed within a bay, 20 litre | — | Rs 8,500–35,000 | Needs a dedicated 6A point behind it |
| Anti-jump and buffer set | Per sliding shutter | — | Rs 350–900 | The part that stops a shutter leaving the track |
| Soft-close for sliding | Both-way damper kit | — | Rs 1,800–4,500/set | Retrofittable on most top-hung systems |
| Loft shutter flap stay | Gas strut with a hold-open | 8 kg | Rs 950–2,600/pair | Prevents a loft shutter falling on your head |
How to use the catalogue
- Choose the system before the internals. Sliding or hinged changes the usable internal depth, the shutter sizes and roughly a third of the hardware budget.
- Check the kg capacity against your shutter. An 8 ft tall shutter in 18 mm ply with a mirror is heavier than most people assume, and an undersized system shows it within months.
- Buy the small fittings. A ₹1,200 tie and belt rack and a ₹950 loft flap stay are disproportionately useful for what they cost.
- Specify oval rail over round. Round rail deflects visibly over a 3 ft span with a full load; the 25 x 15 mm oval section does not.
Three mistakes this prevents
- Three-door synchronised on a short run. At ₹22,000 to ₹55,000 it only earns its cost above about 9 ft; below that, two doors do the same job.
- A loft shutter with no stay. It falls on whoever opened it, and a ₹950 gas strut would have prevented it.
- Ordinary hinges on a mirror shutter. The extra 4 to 6 kg pulls the shutter out of alignment and the mirror stops sitting flush.

Frequently asked questions
Sliding or hinged wardrobe?+
Sliding where the room is under about 11 ft and a hinged shutter has no swing space; hinged everywhere else. Hinged gives you full access to the whole opening and costs less. Sliding permanently loses one shutter width of access and takes no floor space, which in a small Mumbai bedroom decides it.
How much does sliding wardrobe hardware cost?+
₹4,500 to ₹28,000 per two-door set depending on whether it is bottom-roller or top-hung and on the shutter weight. For a standard 8 ft two-door wardrobe, a decent top-hung system with soft-close both ways lands around ₹12,000 to ₹18,000 for the hardware alone.
What internal depth does a wardrobe need?+
Twenty-two to twenty-four inches externally, giving about 20 to 22 in clear internally, which is what a hanger needs without the shoulders touching the back. Below 20 in clear, garments hang at an angle and press against the shutter, and a trouser pull-out will not fit at all.
Is a pull-down rail worth it?+
Yes, in a tall wardrobe. The top two feet of an 8 ft wardrobe is otherwise reachable only with a stool, so it fills with things nobody wants. A spring-assisted pull-down rail at ₹3,500 to ₹9,500 turns that into usable hanging space, which is cheap storage by any measure.
Do I need soft-close on a sliding wardrobe?+
It is the single upgrade most worth having. Without it, a sliding shutter closes with a bang against the end stop, and over years that impact loosens the shutter frame. Both-way dampers add ₹1,800 to ₹4,500 and are retrofittable on most top-hung systems.
